Help make Tree O'Clock happen!

Ever wanted to be part of a World Record attempt - here's your chance

The Green City initiative is delighted to be supporting the BBC Breathing Places 'Tree O'Clock' Guinness World record attempt.

What's happening?

Between 11.00 and 12 noon on December 5th 2009, organisations, communities, families and individuals will attempt to set a new record for planting the most trees in one hour in multiple locations (the current record is 653,143).

How will it work?

Every extra tree planted counts towards the total, if it is pledged and planted within the designated hour according to Guinnness rules. Commercial or contract planting carried out manually counts as well so if you've got a team planting up a site, tie that in with the overall record bid.
